Try January Challenge - 1 January 2021

Try something new, challenge yourself or even give something up! | View on map

Set a personal challenge that will benefit us whilst also benefitting you, whether it’s trying one of our challenges, giving something up, or trying harder when it comes to a goal you’ve set.

For example, you could choose to give up alcohol, walk 11,000 steps a day, try to shed some of the Christmas and lockdown lbs, or even try a skydive! Whatever you choose to do, you will be helping us care for our patients and their families during this difficult time.

Ask your friends and family to sponsor you £1 a day or £1 for every lb, for your Try January challenge! Any amount, however little or large, will help us to provide our free-of-charge care to our patients and their families.

If you have any questions, do contact our Supporter Care Team on supportercare@pah.org.uk or 01372 461 808

Tag us on social media so we can see your amazing Try January efforts – @PAHospice

And do use our hashtag too – #TryJanuaryForPAH

Good luck and we look forward to seeing your Try January choices!

PJ Day – any day in February - 12 February 2021

Fundraising fun in your pyjamas! | View on map

events@pah.org.uk | 01372 461808

Take part from anywhere that suits you and on any day in February!

Make a minimum donation of £2 (per participant) or why not get family and friends to sponsor you.

Support us this February by holding your own PJ Day; whether you’re learning at home, at school, working remotely or in the office. With many of us currently living in our PJs whilst staying at home during lockdown there really isn’t any excuse to not get involved!

We’re asking supporters to join in this fun event to help raise awareness of what our amazing nurses and clinical staff do especially during the night time hours when care is still provided in the Hospice and out in the community. As you can imagine this past year has been challenging for us all at the Hospice with having to deal with the Coronavirus pandemic and especially more challenging for our nurses and clinical team but they have been amazing at adapting to still provide care when it is needed most.

Organise your own PJ Day in February (the official Princess Alice Hospice PJ Day is on 12 February, but you can choose any day and time that suits you) and help raise money and awareness of the work our nurses and clinical team do so they can continue to care for more people with life limiting illnesses.

To get involved all we ask is that you and anyone involved makes a minimum donation of £2 to participate or why not get family and friends to sponsor you? You can either make a donation or set up a JustGiving fundraising page via our JustGiving campaign page here. Please ensure you follow the latest government guidelines if participating with friends, family and/or colleagues.

Here are just a few fun activities and ideas you can do whilst wearing your PJs;

  • Class quiz or team quiz
  • Virtual lunch
  • Virtual tea party
  • Sponsored walk
  • Complete a challenge (steps, walk, run etc.)

A full PJ Day fundraising pack will be available shortly to help you plan for your day. If you are interested in holding your own PJ Day in February get in touch with our events team (events@pah.org.uk) as we would love to hear all about it and how we can support you.
