Special celebrations

If your birthday, wedding, anniversary or any other exciting occasion or celebration is coming up, why not make the day extra special by asking your guests to make a donation to the Hospice in place of a present?

There are two fantastically simple ways for your friends and family to donate to the Hospice online – via a JustGiving page or a Facebook Fundraiser. They’re not just for marathon runners! Both options are quick and easy, and can be shared with your guests, so you can relax and enjoy the celebrations.

If you’re having a party of other celebration event and you’d like your guests to be able to make donations while they’re there, we can also supply you with special envelopes for them to use, to make a donation by credit or debit card, or cheque. Envelopes can be ordered below. We’ll acknowledge all donations received, and around two months after your celebration event we’ll let you know how much was raised.

We can create a QR code for you to display on your menus, place settings, memory table — giving your guests a simple and thoughtful way to donate in memory of someone special. Email [email protected]

You might also choose to offer our dove pin badges as a unique and heartfelt alternative to traditional favours. These can be attached to your own stationery, just as Sophie and Rob did, and serve as a beautiful reminder of someone dearly missed, while helping to fund the Hospice’s vital care.

Please get in touch with the Fundraising Team to request our badges. We ask for a suggested minimum donation of £1 per badge plus postage and packing. You can contact them via email [email protected]k or call 01372 461808.

We will never be able to thank the team at Princess Alice Hospice enough for the love, care, dignity, and compassion they showed our papa and our whole family. They cared for my papa for a month, and then welcomed him back again for his final 8 days before he passed on 3rd April 2026. Every single member of staff became like family to us during the hardest time of our lives. Their kindness, patience, support, and genuine compassion will stay in our hearts and minds forever. They not only cared for our papa with dignity and respect, but they also supported all of us emotionally every step of the way. We are so grateful for everything they did for our papa and for the comfort they brought him in his final days. Thank you again to the entire team for the incredible work you do every day. You are truly special people, and we will never forget you.

My Mum was there for 3 weeks before she passed away in Nov . The staff and level of care was amazing, she was loved by the staff. They couldn't of done more for her. The call out night service team of Princess Alice were amazing with my Granny in her last few days. She would remember our family members names despite being called out to a number of houses every evening and was always a reassuring voice when she answered the phone.
