While August is often a quieter month, community engagement never truly pauses. Over the past month, our Community outreach team has been active across Kingston and Richmond boroughs, strengthening the local partnerships that are helping to ensure our care reaches everyone who needs it, wherever and whenever they need it.

Early in the month, Rehman joined an EAL coffee morning, speaking directly with Dr Debbie Weekes- Bernard, London’s deputy mayor for communities and social justice, about our work. He also presented to the Rotary Club of Kew Gardens to discuss future collaboration, and welcomed the team from Bluebird Care, Twickenham and Richmond to the Hospice for a tour of our facilities.

Shona maintained a frontline presence at the Everyday Church food banks in Kingston and Chessington, working alongside Citizens Advice, Grace Advocacy and Kingston Council representatives to ensure vulnerable residents and local advisors know how to access our support.

These everyday conversations help keep Princess Alice Hospice firmly embedded in the community we serve, and we can’t wait to continue deepening our collaborations and partnerships in the coming months.
