Summer got off to a blooming start for our Open Gardens, with supporters raising more than £6,100 so far this season to help fund outstanding hospice care across our community.

But Open Gardens are about so much more than beautiful borders and colourful blooms. They bring neighbours, friends and families together, creating welcoming spaces where people can relax, chat over tea and cake, and enjoy the simple pleasure of spending time outdoors, all while supporting a vital local cause.

Every garden has its own story, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has opened their gates this year.

Doug’s incredible fundraising success

Doug transformed his garden into a fantastic family day out, complete with children’s activities, delicious homemade cakes and plenty of space for visitors to enjoy the sunshine. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who came along, he raised an amazing £2,106 for Princess Alice Hospice.

Jean’s community celebration

Jean brought together friends and family to create a wonderful community event, with stalls selling homemade cakes, delicious jams and carefully nurtured plants. Their hard work, warm welcome and teamwork helped raise an outstanding £4,005 for Princess Alice Hospice, a fantastic achievement that shows what can happen when a community comes together for a great cause.

Could you open your garden?

Whether you have a cottage garden bursting with colour, a modern outdoor space or a hidden green oasis, hosting an Open Garden is a rewarding way to bring your community together while supporting us.
