Last year our very own Jo hiked a section of the Camino de Santiago to raise money for Princess Alice Hospice. There are nine different Camino de Santiago routes in total and Jo, who is a Legacy Officer at the Hospice, and her friend Sarah chose to walk a section of the French route, starting in St. Jean Pied de Port and finishing in Pamplona.

They walked 75 km over four days, trekking through the Pyrenees mountains and navigating some challenging terrain.

Jo said “I have never done anything like this before, and it was a real challenge for me. However, it was great to hike in such a beautiful, scenic area of Spain, and we met some wonderful people along the way—many of whom were walking the entire 800 km over a six-week period. Most importantly, I was absolutely thrilled to raise over £1,100 for Princess Alice Hospice!.”

We have partnered with St Raphael’s Hospice to take on this incredible challenge in Autumn 2027!

This bespoke 5-day journey will follow 117 km along the eighth and final stage of the iconic French Way, the most renowned of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela. Walking through the rolling hills of Galicia, you can experience breath-taking scenery while discovering a rich tapestry of cultural and historical landmarks along the route.
