In series 2 – Belonging and Beyond – we have honest conversations about inclusion, belonging, and the barriers created in society for some. Together with guests from all walks of life, we’ll be unpacking big questions like: What does belonging look like? Who gets to belong? And how can we build communities where everyone feels seen and included?
Belonging and inclusion
At Princess Alice Hospice, everyone is welcome. By celebrating our diversity we want to create a space and community where everyone belongs.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every person—patients, families, staff, and volunteers—feels seen, heard, and valued. Our care is built on kindness, understanding, and the belief that everyone should have access to the support they need in a way that works for them.
• Empowering choice and voice – We listen to and respect every individual’s needs, preferences, and beliefs, ensuring they can explore, choose, and plan their future care in a way that is right for them.
• Enhancing wellbeing and dignity – We provide care that recognises and celebrates the unique experiences of each person, supporting their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
• Belonging and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do- By fostering a culture of openness, understanding and learning, together we create a hospice where everyone feels welcome, respected, and supported—because our care is for everyone.
“I also wanted to say thank you so much to you all for your compassion, patience, flexibility and care when supporting <name witheld for privacy>. Without your hard work, he can now be properly cared for at his end-of-life. I am so grateful to you all and to everyone for making the Princess Alice Hospice the amazing organisation that it is.”
