Did you know, gifts in Wills help fund over a third of our vital care.  We simply couldn’t do what we do without them.

This Remember a Charity Week, we want to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all our generous supporters who’ve already included a gift in their Will. These gifts will help us to ensure we can continue to be here to provide holistic support to patients and their families before, during and after death for years to come.

Chris, our Head of Legacies, was recently a guest on Today’s Wills & Probate’s podcast, alongside Remember a Charity’s Lucinda Frostick. You can take a listen here. legacy podcast image

On it, Chris talks about the vital importance of legacy giving for Princess Alice Hospice and highlights how, each year, approximately one-third of the £10 million needed to fund our free care services is derived from legacy giving.

This year, Remember A Charity week is promoting the idea of ‘Willanthropy’, as a way of explaining the act of giving to charity via your Will. On Monday 9 September, they’ll be launching an interactive Great Map of Willanthropy, which will allow people to search for good causes by area and consider if they can support future generations by remembering a charity alongside their loved ones in their Will.

The Remember a Charity organisation also has a brand new celebrity ambassador this year, in the form of TV, radio, and stage performer Debbie McGee who will help promote the power of charitable legacies throughout the week.
