This year Princess Alice Hospice, your local charity, celebrates 30 years of providing free,YOUR_HOSPICE_YOUR_TOWN_LOGO high quality specialist end of life care to tens of thousands of people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

Our compassionate support, comfort and advice have also helped families, carers and friends during their loved one’s illness and through the process of grief and loss.

To mark three decades of this caring support, we are going out into our care area, taking to the roads of Surrey, south west London and Middlesex. We are attending fetes and fairs and taking space on the High Street, shopping centres
and at large train stations.

Thank you

We were founded by our local community and it is the ongoing generous support of local people that makes it possible for us to do our work. Your time, dedication and financial support are at the heart of Princess Alice Hospice … and we really appreciate it.

We want to celebrate the wonderful ways that you help the Hospice and to share what your support enables us to achieve.

Reaching more people in need

Today, any one time, our Princess Alice Nurses, doctors and other specialist staff are looking after more than 800 people in need.

By ensuring our patients, families and carers get the “right care” by the “right person” at the “right time” through services that are closely co-ordinated with each other, we are providing a better quality of life, improved care at home and preventing unnecessary hospital admissions.

But we know there are many more people we can help … and we want to raise awareness of the things we can do and to touch more people than ever before.

your hospice; your charity

Change is all around us and – with an aging population – the demand for our services has increased. In 30 years we haven’t stood still. We have expanded our care in the community and launched new services – like our Man Shed for bereaved men and teenagers – that respond to the changing needs of patients, families and carers.

By explaining what we do … by demystifying our work … by providing ways that you can continue to support us we hope to ensure that you will take us to your hearts as your local charity of choice and that in doing so we can touch more lives and bring a sense of normality to those whose worlds have been turned upside down.
