What about family and friends?

We look after patients and the whole family, including their animals at times!

We know that it is not only our patients who need support. It is a tough time for carers, families and friends as well, so we are here to help you too.

You can talk to our team about your feelings, needs and concerns at any stage. We can help with practical and financial matters, emotional support and spiritual care.

Visit our family and friends section for more information about bereavement support and counselling.

Family fun day

Our Family fun days are a great introduction to the Hospice and are packed with fun and games, featuring everything from fancy dress, to henna tattooing, arts and crafts and online games.

Princess Alice Hospice helped us to help Mum make the best of the time she had left.

Cooking workshops

From time to time we run cooking workshops at the Hospice.

These may include anything from recipes to help combat some of the side effects of illnesses, to advice for carers on how to cook for patients on special diets. We’ve featured some recipes so why not get a taster?
