Ocean Tri arrive in Paris

Thursday 1 June

A team of 24 cyclists and their support crew arrived in the French capital at approx. 3-3.30pm on Saturday 3 June after setting off on the 300km (190 miles) journey from the Hospice on Thursday 1 June.

The team has raised more than £13,000 smashing their target of £10,000, which is brilliant!

Ocean Tri left the Hospice on Thursday morning after a banquet of our Catering team’s eminent bacon rolls and a good cuppa; they filled  their water bottles, slapped on the factor 50 and donned their Hospice vests before taking part in a photo-call with the Surrey Advertiser.  Then it was time to load their kit onto the support vans and kiss their loved ones goodbye.

Lots of staff and volunteers turned out to wish them luck, and after a couple of laps of the car park, they were off!

The team made it to Newhaven Harbour – approx. 60 miles away – in record time and after catching a ferry across the Channel, they powered through Northern France.

Congratulations Ocean Tri – you are all amazing!
