Summer Fete and Dog Show

Tuesday 6 June

Come and join us at Princess Alice Hospice for our annual Summer Fete and Dog Show on Sunday 18 June between 11am and 4pm.

As ever the country village themed Fete will be a real treat for all the family. We have a great variety of stalls, food and drink including a BBQ and Pimm’s tent, and a variety of demonstrations including the wonderful Esher wood carvers who will be on hand to show off their craft.

We also have lots of fun for children with face painting, a coconut shy, stocks, live entertainment and a variety of games.

This year the fete falls on Father’s day and to mark this we’ll have a microbrewery and a special ‘dad’s burger at the BBQ. We will also be showcasing our wonderful Man Shed – a supportive space for the bereaved and those affected by terminal illness to work together on practical projects. Since TV sports presenter John Inverdale opened our Shed doors in June 2016, many patients, carers and bereaved relatives have benefitted from this vital resource.

For those with dogs, there are several categories to enter in the Dog Show: Handsome boy, Pretty girl, Best child handler, Best veteran dog and Musical Sits! All winners are put forward for the Champion of Champions Award. The Dog Show starts at 2pm. Places are limited and it’s very popular so we suggest you come along a little earlier to register.

Mia Patterson, Events Manager said:” We always look forward to the Summer Fete and Dog Show. It’s such a fun event and allows the local community to come and enjoy our gardens and support their hospice. So bring the children, bring the dog and bring dad to celebrate his special day.”

Admission is £3 for adults and under 12s are free.  Entry to the dog show is £2.50 for each class.   Free parking and a shuttle bus will be available at Garsons Farm.
