Painshill 18th century landscape garden was created between 1738 and 1773, by the Hon. Charles Hamilton – his vision was to create ‘living paintings’ in a new style of magical garden. Inspired by Renaissance art and his Grand Tours, Hamilton went on to create a sequence of breathtaking and surprising vistas at Painshill. The landscapes form living works of art into which Hamilton placed follies for dramatic effect. Run, jog or walk to the finish line whilst you discover all this beautiful park has to offer.

Please put your emergency contact details on the back of your bib before you head to the start line. There will also be an opportunity to pick up an in memory bid here too. Please use the bib to write the name(s) of anyone in whose memory you are participating or feel free to add a message/reason for why you are taking part.

Please arrive by 9.30am for a 10am start. If you are planning on running the course please assemble near the front of the start line, followed by joggers in the middle and then strollers at the back. Once you have registered at one of the desks, please assemble near the relevant category, ready for the warm-up.

We will provide you with a Santa suit and elf hat for under 12s. When you registered for our Santa Fun Run online, you will have selected where you want to pick up your costume(s) from prior to the event. Either at the Hospice (in Esher) or on the day at the event.

To protect your modesty – as well as protect yourself from the cold – please wear clothes under your Santa suit! Remember to wear suitable footwear and arrive in your Santa suit ready to run/walk (or in plenty of time to collect it).

Please note that, unfortunately, there are no lockers/storage facilities available to leave things at the start, so please do not bring any valuables with you on the day.

Running in memory of a loved one

Many people choose to support Princess Alice Hospice in memory of someone they love and in recognition of the high-quality compassionate care we provide.

By taking part in our Santa Fun Run in memory of a loved one, you’ll be commemorating their life and supporting your local hospice, to help other families in need of our specialist care and support.

On the day, you will be able to decorate a running bib that you can add to your Santa suit, to remember that special person whilst taking part.
