Until registration closes for the 16th Dec Bushy Park run

Bushy Park is one of London’s eight Royal Parks and covers an area of 1,099 acres, the second largest of the capital’s eight Royal Parks. But don’t worry – you will only be running, jogging or walking 5km of this beautiful park. Bushy Park is famed for its mix of waterways, gardens and grassland, and roaming herds of red and fallow deer. The bronze Diana fountain at the end of the mile-long Chestnut Avenue was designed by Sir Christopher Wren. Visit the Upper Lodge Water Gardens, Woodland Gardens and try to spot birdlife including woodpeckers, kingfishers and kestrels.

Registration

On arrival at our Santa Fun Run, you will need to register at our registration desks. You will receive a running bib for the event at registration. Please use the bib to write the name(s) of anyone in whose memory you are participating or feel free to add a message / reason for why you are taking part. Please put your emergency contact details on the back of your bib before you head to the start line.

Times

For the 10.00am run, please arrive by 9.30m. We are planning a staggered start to our Santa Fun Runs, with runners setting off first, followed by joggers and then strollers. Once you have registered at one of the desks, please assemble near the relevant category, ready for the warm up.

Clothing

We will provide you with a Santa suit and elf hat for under 12s. When you registered for our Santa Fun Run online, you will have selected where you want to pick up your costume(s) from prior to the event.

To protect your modesty – as well as protect yourself from the cold – please wear clothes under your Santa suit! Remember to wear suitable footwear and arrive in your Santa suit ready to run/walk.

Please note that, unfortunately, there are no lockers/storage facilities available to leave things at the start, so please do not bring any valuables with you on the day.

Running in memory of a loved one

Many people choose to support Princess Alice Hospice in memory of someone they love and in recognition of the high-quality compassionate care we provide.

By taking part in our Santa Fun Run in memory of a loved one, you’ll be commemorating their life and supporting your local hospice, to help other families in need of our specialist care and support.

On the day, you will be able to decorate a running bib that you can add to your Santa suit, to remember that special person whilst taking part.
