Natalie Henson Story
Natalie Henson – Santa Fun Run
I work in Marketing and Customer services for an international Sports Optics Company. I live in Chessington with my partner, Steve Creed, and my two sons Cameron (who will be 12 years old on Christmas Day) and Ryan (who is 8). On Sunday 27 November 2016 we all ran the Princess Alice Hospice Santa Fun Run at Bushy Park in memory of my Aunty Jenny.
Aunty Jenny was kind, warm, wise and so brave. I will always remember her kind eyes, beautiful smile and the laughs we had at family dos. She was always so happy to see everyone and gave the best hugs. Those of us who were at her bedside until the end at the Princess Alice Hospice couldn’t praise the staff highly enough. They were sensitive, dignified, respectful, compassionate and dedicated … and so much more. No words can express how grateful we are for the outstanding care Jenny received there.
This was my 3rd charity race ever. But I’m certainly not a runner and the last two were years ago. Having said that I’m not one to shy away from a challenge so I went for it!
The main aim for us was to have fun with the kids and raise lots of money to help others! We are thrilled with the support we had, raising over £600! Thank you to all of Jenny’s family and friends who have generously donated. We hope she can see how much she meant to so many people.
