Dedicate a dove and bring comfort to more local families

We’re delighted to invite you to be a part of our very first Under our Wing Appeal. Here at the Hospice, we believe it’s an honour to care for someone at the end of their life. However, we know we can’t reach everyone who needs us. That’s why we hope you will be kind enough to support our very first Under our Wing Appeal by dedicating a dove today. You can choose from two unique garden ornaments, crafted in the UK exclusively for Princess Alice Hospice. As our dove designs are made of stainless steel, they are durable and weatherproof. And because they’re handmade, each one is unique.

Visit our garden dove display or join us for an online ceremony

Your dove will be displayed in our beautiful garden among hundreds of others – each one representing someone special.

You will have the opportunity to see your dove on display in our garden. There are two dates to choose from, Saturday 28 August and Saturday 11 September.  Please let us know your preferred date and time.

You can also watch our special online ceremonyThis short ceremony will feature poetry read by members of the Hospice team and a chance to see the garden dove display on film, accompanied by beautiful music.

Other ways to celebrate a life and make a difference

Our Tribute Page and Giving Dove are great ways to celebrate a life and remember a loved one. We also have a wide range of bereavement support resources you may find useful. See below links for further details.

Tribute Page

Tribute Page celebrates the life of a loved one. As your own special tribute, this online page can become a place of comfort to visit at any time or place, in order to help you remember and reflect. You can do many things including posting stories, favourite pictures, videos and memories, or lighting a candle. You can also collect donations if you want to fundraise in memory of your loved one.

Giving Dove

Sponsoring a feather on our beautiful Giving Dove is another way to support future patients and their families, cared for by Princess Alice Hospice, whilst commemorating your loved one in a special and enduring way.

The Giving Dove is situated in the main reception of the Hospice.

Bereavement Support

Grief is unique to everyone, but you don’t have to go through it alone.

We provide a range of bereavement support and resources that you may find useful

With your Will, we will

We depend on gifts in our supporters’ Wills more than any other kind of support, in fact in normal times 41% of our funding comes from gifts in Wills – it could be the most important legacy you leave as a gift of any size will make a difference.

To find out more about leaving a gift in your Will request your free gifts in Wills booklet.

If you have already left a gift in your Will to Princess Alice Hospice, we would be very grateful if you let us know so we can say thank you.
