    Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside.  With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it’s a truly spectacular event for all involved.

    We’re looking for adventure seekers to sign up for an amazing, ten day fundraising trek up the world’s highest freestanding mountain to raise crucial funds for the Hospice so we can continue to be there, caring when it matters.  The dates are as follows:

    1. Friday 18 August – Sunday 27 August 11 2017
    2. Friday 29 September – Sunday 8 October 2017
    3. Monday 26 December – Thursday 4 January 2018

    This incredible trekking adventure takes the Machame route allowing for gradual acclimatisation as you pass through thick forest, moorland and scree enroute to the highest point, Uhuru Peak. The incredible views from the top are the reward for pushing you to your physical and mental limit.

    Registration fee: £449

    Sponsorship target: £4,700, £4,400 and £4,500 (sponsorship target is dependent on date chosen).

    Starting at Land’s End on the south-westerly tip of England, we pedal our way through Cornwall, over Dartmoor and north along the Welsh border, skirting the Lake District into Scotland, via lochs and the Highlands to the North Coast and John O’Groats.  This is a tough challenge but a fabulous way to see the country, and one of the most rewarding things you will ever do!

    Cycling from London to Paris is one of the great cycle experiences in Europe. Passing through picturesque Kent countryside, we cross the Channel and continue through the small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France. With long days in the saddle and some strenuous hill-climbs, the sight of the Eiffel Tower, our finishing point, will evoke a real sense of achievement. Our last day in Paris allows us to explore the sights and soak up the romantic atmosphere of this majestic city! The dates are as follows:

    Machu Picchu is one of the most iconic sights in South America, and the culmination of our magnificent Inca Trail trek through the Peruvian Andes. Join us as we trek this breathtakingly beautiful route through valleys and high passes, scattered with fascinating Inca ruins.Trekking on Inca-paved paths and steps, our route takes us up through lush cloudforest to the demanding Dead Woman’s Pass (4200m). Continually climbing up or dropping down, our way is steep at times, and the altitude adds to the challenge. We finally come to the Sun Gate, which overlooks Machu Picchu, where your first magical glimpse provides an unforgettable reward for your efforts.

    Permits for the Inca Trail are restricted and must be secured months in advance, so sign up in good time!

    Imagine….

    …standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 or even 15,000 feet – the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below.

    Imagine being able to do the highest Skydive in the UK, whilst harnessed to a professional freefall parachute instructor and at the same time being able to help Princess Alice Hospice! Stop imagining; it’s real and it’s happening throughout this year and you can be part of it.

    There is no registration fee but we do ask you to raise a minimum sponsorship of £395 for 10,000 ft or £495 for 15,000 ft.

    The maximum weight for a tandem skydive is 18 stone fully clothed and there are no upper age limits but if you are aged 16 or 17 you must be accompanied by an adult.

    Stretching 6,000km across China, this varied trek will take you through woodland and terraced farmland, and follow the contours of the beautiful hills and mountains in remote areas north of Beijing. This challenge is physically demanding but offers fabulous scenery and a fascinating insight into a rich culture and history.  Dates are as follows:

    • Friday 15 September – Sunday 24 September 2017
    • Friday 6 October – Sunday 15 October 2017

    • Incredible trekking experience along one of the Seven Wonders of the World
    • Trek remote hills and little-visited sections of the Great Wall

    The UK’s highest free fall abseil on the UK’s tallest sculpture is the adrenaline-fuelled way to see London at 262 feet above the city.  The magnificent looping structure of the ArcelorMittal Orbit is an iconic symbol of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the London 2012 Games. It’s the best place to see the sweeping panorama of the city whilst raising funds for us!

    Iceland is a land of incredible contrast and beauty. Its wild volcanic landscapes, mountains, glaciers, hot springs, geysers and waterfalls, combined with its rich history, literature and folklore make it a fascinating country to explore. Our challenge takes us from the active Mt Hekla to Landmannalaugar and then south through the mountains to the permanent icecaps of Myrdals and Eyjafjallajokull. This is a tough and challenging trek through a remote and wild environment – and presents a rare opportunity to witness a landscape which is changing before our eyes.

    Trek highlights:

    • Diverse trekking between two ice caps to new lava formed by the 2010 eruption
    • Magnificent wild scenery of glaciers, rugged valleys and waterfalls
    • Time to relax in a thermal spa
