    Walk, jog or run from London to Brighton for the Hospice. Your challenge – your way!

    Starting in Richmond, West London on Saturday morning, the tented start village is full of anticipation.

    This challenge involves 100km of paths, trails, and expert support alongside some highs and lows to get to the Brighton finish line – where an overwhelming sense of elation awaits. Your journey only finishes when you’ve had time to reflect on your amazing achievement and how your challenge also helped the Hospice.  Dates are as follows:

    50km & 25km options available.

    The Brecon Beacons National Park is a mountain range that runs through the centre of South Wales, renowned for its inspiring and open scenery. The Beacons is also the training ground of the SAS – as you can imagine the routes will provide you with testing climbs, steep descents and challenging terrain. Both the 25km and 50km routes will summit one of the highest peaks in South Wales, the famous Pen y Fan (886m), it will be a challenging adventure but once you make it to the top you’ll discover sensational views of the Brecon Beacons, with its rolling mountains and hills, stretching as far as the eye can see.

    Cycling from London to Paris is one of the great cycle experiences in Europe. Passing through picturesque Kent countryside, we cross the Channel and continue through the small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France. With long days in the saddle and some strenuous hill-climbs, the sight of the Eiffel Tower, our finishing point, will evoke a real sense of achievement. Our last day in Paris allows us to explore the sights and soak up the romantic atmosphere of this majestic city! The dates are as follows:

    We will be displaying our very own plant stall at the Ashtead Village Day on Saturday 10th June 2017.  The fun starts at 12 noon with the main entertainment taking place in the field arena with shows and participation events held throughout the day. New headline acts are arranged every year including a celebrity opening to the event! In addition to the arena, other entertainment is provided including live music acts, funfair rides, a dog show, pony rides, a cooking demonstration, food stalls and miniature bus tours.

    Come and visit Trumpeters House Garden. Set in the grounds of an ancient Richmond Palace, the garden is open to the public by the kind permission of Baroness Van Dedem.

    Admissions are £5, with the proceeds going to the National Gardens Scheme.

    Tea and home made cakes will be available on the day to raise money for the Hospice.

    Our annual Summer Fete and Dog Show will take place on Sunday 18 June.

    Join us for a day of craft stalls, homemade goodies, Dog Show, choir and other entertainment.  There are lot of things for the children to do and take part in including ride on cars, coconut shy, stocks, bottle tombola the usual wonderful pimms, strawberries and Allan’s fabulous BBQ Homemade ice cream and new this year a wandering magician!

    Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside.  With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it’s a truly spectacular event for all involved.

    We’re looking for adventure seekers to sign up for an amazing, ten day fundraising trek up the world’s highest freestanding mountain to raise crucial funds for the Hospice so we can continue to be there, caring when it matters.  The dates are as follows:

    1. Friday 18 August – Sunday 27 August 11 2017
    2. Friday 29 September – Sunday 8 October 2017
    3. Monday 26 December – Thursday 4 January 2018

    This incredible trekking adventure takes the Machame route allowing for gradual acclimatisation as you pass through thick forest, moorland and scree enroute to the highest point, Uhuru Peak. The incredible views from the top are the reward for pushing you to your physical and mental limit.

    Registration fee: £449

    Sponsorship target: £4,700, £4,400 and £4,500 (sponsorship target is dependent on date chosen).

    Machu Picchu is one of the most iconic sights in South America, and the culmination of our magnificent Inca Trail trek through the Peruvian Andes. Join us as we trek this breathtakingly beautiful route through valleys and high passes, scattered with fascinating Inca ruins.Trekking on Inca-paved paths and steps, our route takes us up through lush cloudforest to the demanding Dead Woman’s Pass (4200m). Continually climbing up or dropping down, our way is steep at times, and the altitude adds to the challenge. We finally come to the Sun Gate, which overlooks Machu Picchu, where your first magical glimpse provides an unforgettable reward for your efforts.

    Stretching 6,000km across China, this varied trek will take you through woodland and terraced farmland, and follow the contours of the beautiful hills and mountains in remote areas north of Beijing. This challenge is physically demanding but offers fabulous scenery and a fascinating insight into a rich culture and history.  Dates are as follows:

    Iceland is a land of incredible contrast and beauty. Its wild volcanic landscapes, mountains, glaciers, hot springs, geysers and waterfalls, combined with its rich history, literature and folklore make it a fascinating country to explore. Our challenge takes us from the active Mt Hekla to Landmannalaugar and then south through the mountains to the permanent icecaps of Myrdals and Eyjafjallajokull. This is a tough and challenging trek through a remote and wild environment – and presents a rare opportunity to witness a landscape which is changing before our eyes.

    • Diverse trekking between two ice caps to new lava formed by the 2010 eruption
    • Magnificent wild scenery of glaciers, rugged valleys and waterfalls
