Every year, Remember A Charity Week is a national initiative that sets out to remind people of the importance of gifts in Wills to charities. At Princess Alice Hospice, over a third of our fundraising income comes from gifts in Wills each year. Quite simply, they’re vital to ensuring our mission of providing free compassionate care can continue for local people who need us most, now and in the future.

We know that end of life is often a time when people reflect on what they would like their legacy to be; leaving a legacy gift can give a person control over their life and allow them to do something deeply meaningful when everything else is feeling uncertain and beyond their control. For families, making a gift in memory of a loved one can be a comforting, lovely way of ensuring their memory lives on and helps other local people dealing with life-limiting illnesses.

Our Legacy team has been asking colleagues at the Hospice what they think they’ll be remembered for.

This year, we’d like to use Remember A Charity Week to ask you, ‘what will you be remembered for?’

Remember a Charity Week runs from 11 – 17 September this year.
