We were delighted to be invited to host our Princess Alice Hospice Summer Fete at Sandown Racecourse for the first time this year, thanks to the generosity of their support before, during and after the event. On the day before the event, we unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to cancel the much-loved dog show aspect of the fete, due to the extremely high temperatures over that weekend, which would have made it unsafe for our four-legged friends to be exposed to.

Despite this, it was wonderful to welcome over 1,000 supporters to Sandown from our local community, where people enjoyed listening to live music, browsing an array of high-quality artistan stalls, eating delicious ice cream and playing plenty of fun games.

The event is a good ‘fun’-draiser for Princess Alice Hospice, and as always we’re extremely grateful to our local community for their ongoing support. The money raised will help us continue to provide specialist compassionate care, free of charge, to people at the Hospice and in the community who need us at the hardest of times.

Thank you to everybody who came along and to Sandown Racecourse for supporting the event so generously.
