Open your garden this summer for Princess Alice Hospice
Opening your own back garden is more than just a chance to show off your flowers, it’s a wonderful way to bring people together, celebrate nature, and support local hospice care.
A day to connect
An open garden day invites neighbours, friends, and families to gather in a beautiful, relaxing setting. It’s a chance to slow down, share stories, and build a true sense of community spirit.
By opening your garden for Princess Alice Hospice, you’re not only giving people a great day out, you’re helping us deliver compassionate care to more local families. You’ll also join a warm network of like‑minded garden owners and volunteers, all united by a love of nature and a desire to make a difference.
Every garden counts
Your garden is as unique as you are. Sharing it allows others to experience that same sense of peace and joy that you enjoy every day. Big or small, manicured or wild, quirky or classic — every outside space can inspire, from allotments to courtyards, vegetable gardens to cottagey corners.
One of our supporters, Doug, opened his garden last year in memory of his wife Marie:
“The day itself was wonderful. We welcomed so many visitors, including people from the local community I had never met before. It was lovely to make new connections — and we raised almost £1,500 for the Hospice!”

Doug’s story is just one example of how opening a garden can be a meaningful tribute as well as a joyful event.
