Gifts in Wills fund over a third of our charitable activities. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to help one in three of the people we currently care for.

“Volunteering at the hospice always makes you appreciate what you have and what can so easily be taken from you.” – Heather, Volunteer

HeatherFor over ten years, Heather volunteered her time to help people who were receiving care at Princess Alice Hospice. Alongside her volunteering role, Heather was a compassionate listener, too: “As a volunteer you are in a capsule, people tell you all sorts of things. Things they wouldn’t tell anyone else, particularly their families.”

Having seen how the work of the charity has improved people’s end of life experience, Heather says, “it’s important the Hospice is here. I was struck from the beginning by the great atmosphere at Princess Alice and the laughter that filled it.”

For Heather, a gift in her Will enables people to die in peace, and gives future generations the opportunity to receive the amazing care that Princess Alice Hospice offers to local people: ‘’I know the Hospice needs the support, and I trust them to spend my money wisely, helping people for years to come.’’
