side view of Christmas tree with dovesAfter holding our service online for the last two years, we are looking forward to welcoming guests back to the Hospice grounds for our annual Light Up A Life service in December. If you are familiar with our service of remembrance, you will know it provides an uplifting opportunity to remember loved ones who have died, to celebrate their lives and give thanks for precious memories. If you are not able to attend the event, there will be an opportunity to add the name of your loved one to our Book of Dedications beforehand.

On tCard dove on threehe day itself, we will be lighting up our beautiful Tree of Light in the garden, which will be adorned with lights and the names of people who have received compassionate care from Princess Alice Hospice; we will be singing carols and taking a special, collective moment to celebrate and remember our loved ones who have died. While it is a time of joy for many, we know the lead-up to the festive period can be a particularly challenging time if you have lost a loved one. We have a number of resources available on the Bereavement section of our website which we hope you will find helpful; they can be found here: www.pah.org.uk/bereavementsupport

“The Hospice were there to support us through everything – from Christmas to my daughter’s first day at high school. Their support has been a lifeline. We’re doing OK now – and I don’t think we would be without Princess Alice Hospice.” – Bereaved husband and father
