Gill smiling at the cameraOur new strategy places people at the heart of everything we do and has been developed specifically to help us adapt and develop to new situations. We are committed to ensuring local people receive the outstanding care and support that they need in the last days, weeks and months of their life. However, faced with increased costs and an ever-growing need for our services, we know this winter will be difficult.

One of the most effective ways supporters help the Hospice is by giving a regular monthly donation. These important gifts provide a vital source of significant and predictable income and help us plan our services, not just for today but for the months and years ahead.

A kind donation of £5 every month for one year could pay for a local family to attend two bereavement meetings, providing a supportive space for young families to process their grief, as well as much-needed emotional and practical support. Alternatively, £15 each month for one year could pay for someone to receive two home visits from a Princess Alice Hospice Health Care Assistant like Gill (pictured), helping them live their last days as comfortably as possible. After the last two years of uncertainty and change, we have found that regular donations are needed now more than ever.

Gill (pictured) is one of our Princess Alice Hospice Health Care Assistants, says: “Thank you for helping people like me be there for local people, when they need us most.”
