We are pleased to let you know we will be expanding our community bereavement support services this year, which we know provide a great source of comfort, peer support and information to local bereaved people.

Firstly, we have three new Bereavement Cafés:

  • One at All Saints’ Church in Kingston, taking place every other Wednesday, from 2pm – 3:30pm.
  • Another new Kingston venue is Welcare House which runs on the first Thursday of each month, 1:30-3:30pm. This café is run in conjunction with Kingston Bereavement support.
  • One will begin in February, at the Macmillan Butterfly Centre at Epsom Hospital, taking place on the first Friday of each month, from 2.30pm – 4.00pm.

Please email donnapariser@pah.org.uk, for further details about either group, or visit our website to find out more.

We also have a new bereavement Walk & Talk group starting at Painshill Park in Cobham on 17 January. These walks will take place on the third Wednesday each month, with arrival at 10.15am for a 10.30am start. Please email donnapariser@pah.org.uk if you would like to book a (limited) ticket for what is a valuable source of peer support from others who are also bereaved. The walk will be supported by volunteers and you will have the opportunity to talk over coffee in the café afterwards.

Please visit our website to find out more about all the community bereavement support and groups we offer, or email Donna Pariser, our Bereavement Service Volunteer Coordinator, if you have any questions, who will be happy to help.
