During Volunteers’ Week at the beginning of June we always like to make a point of saying a huge thank you to our 1,200+ volunteers.

This year, we wanted to make it known that our wonderful volunteers come in all shapes and sizes, as well as different species!

Pets As Therapy (PAT) dog Eddy, who belongs to volunteer Gill Thomas and who regularly visits the In-Patient Unit (IPU) and Wellbeing Centre, is now a social media star!

PAT dogs and pets in general are good for our wellbeing and mental health so, we sent him on his visits with a Go Pro attached to a special harness on his back so we can see the IPU, doctors, nurses, volunteers and patients from his perspective.
