Collections from Friday 12 January 2024.

After the huge success of our Christmas tree collection service in 2021, 2022 proved even more popular, when we collected 1,102 Christmas trees and raised £19,491.60.

We received great feedback from supporter, Louisa Stevens: “I wanted to say what a fantastic idea/service this is. It’s always a chore disposing of Christmas trees, but this year it was brilliant as I donated to charity and my trees were taken away. Win win!! I hope the Hospice raised a good amount of money doing this!!”

Not only does the Christmas Tree Collection provide an opportunity for our local community to come together and volunteer their time raising vital funds for local causes, but it also has an enormously positive environmental impact. Once our trees are collected, they are chipped, so they can be spread in public parks and gardens, which will significantly reduce the carbon footprint by up to 80%.

During our 2024 collection, we want to collect even more trees and have set ourselves the goal of raising £25,000. To do this we need community groups, local businesses and other volunteers with vans to help us.

So, if you have a couple of days to spare between 12 and 16 January, a strong pair of gloves and a good sense of humour, please get in touch via email on: Thank you!
