For more than 30 years, Princess Alice Hospice has been
providing free, high quality specialist end of life care. We deliver our care
across a large part of Surrey, south west London and Middlesex – more than one
million people are eligible for our help. Today, at any one time, we are
looking after more than 800 people in need.
It costs over £9.9 million each year to provide our free,
high quality care. We are investing in developing services to reach out to even
more people in need. As a charity 74% of our income is generated by
fundraising, retail operations, donations and legacies and it is only the
ongoing generous support of the local community that makes it possible to do
Volunteers have always played a vital part in the success of
our Hospice. We have over 1,200 volunteers in over 100 different roles supporting
our charity – 690 provide support in the Hospice and in the community and just
over 540 help in our shops.
By working together, our highly trained teams whether in Clinical,
Education and Research, Bereavement and Marketing or Operations are all
focused on ensuring families and carers
get the right care by the right person at the right time.
