Why volunteer ?

These are some of the reasons volunteers join us:

• Many volunteers want to give something back following a bereavement of their own at the Hospice.



• Others have just retired and would have time on their hands for the first time in their lives and would like to do something useful.



• Many want to help support a local charity.



• Young people join us as they would like to gain experience of working in a caring environment before embarking on a medical career.



• An increasing number of working people join our volunteer teams at weekends and evenings as they want to help and feel valued in some small way.
