Our Services
The Princess Alice Hospice is one of the largest Hospices in the U.K.The Hospice opened in 1985 and has grown to provide an extensive range of clinical expertise in specialist palliative care. The Hospice is recognised as, and has an important role in the local palliative care provision where we work in close partnership with the NHS.
All services are co-ordinated through one of the patient care departments, the Community Team, the In-patient unit, the The Day Hospice, Therapy team, Social Work team for bereavement support and the Education Department for an extensive educational programme.
Our clinical team comprises doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplain, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and complementary therapists. We also have access to other professionals outside the Hospice and our work is complemented by specially selected volunteers.
