Research

The Princess Alice Hospice supports today’s Evidence-Based Approach to clinical practice. We highly value the role of research as a source of information contributing to the body of knowledge related to our practice.

The majority of the research projects are being carried out by our own employees who are undertaking MSc Advanced Practice courses. The external applicants may also be granted permission to carry out a research project involving our staff or patients. We are also closely involved in other research projects in collaboration with the University of Surrey.

Consultant in Palliative Medicine, Dr Jennifer Todd is the Chairman of the Hospice Research Committee. Our Research Nurse, Marek Plaskota co-ordinates research projects the Hospice is involved in.
