Getting Involved

Fundraising in our community is central to all our fundraising. You can get involved and have fun, whilst raising vital funds to keep our services running and free to all those in our local area who need them.

Thank you to all our Friends, who already organise and support ongoing events throughout the calendar year. You can see a list of these events on our Forthcoming Events page. We are always happy to welcome new Friends to our Committees and events.

There are many other ways to get involved, as an individual, through your company, through your school or any group or organisation that you may be involved with already.

Whatever you would like to do to make a difference – we would be delighted to hear from you!
Call Fundraising on 01372 468811 or email fundraising@pah.org.uk

You could organise your own event – large or small. Perhaps you have a special birthday or anniversary coming up where you could ask guests to make a donation in lieu of gifts, or you could organise a small event in memory of a loved one.

You could take part in a challenge event. Challenge yourself to climb Ben Nevis or perhaps even run the London Marathon!

You could get involved through your company. You could simply hold a collection at your place of work, we would be happy to send you a collecting tin. Perhaps your company has a ‘charity of the year’? Or you may like to use an existing event to raise money for the Hospice.

Thank you to everyone at Air Products, Hersham, who raised nearly £800 at their ‘family day’ in September 2005. Jo Hills, who organised the day, said, “it is important for Air Products to support a local charity, and we had fun at the same time!”.

You could get involved through your school. If your school has a ‘charity of the year’, please let us know how and when we should apply. If you would like to organise a collection at one of your events, we would be happy to send you collecting buckets and posters or leaflets about our work. You can download the A to Z of fundraising ideas (PDF) and organise an event or sponsored activity.

Fundraisers
Ruth and Mark Howlett, Ann Laylo and Paul Howse supported the Hospice for a whole year, organising various events, including a sponsored football match. By charging the players, encouraging them to be sponsored and making the day fun for everyone who attended, their success required a rematch!
Thank you!
