Library And Information Services

The library at the Princess Alice Hospice houses a growing collection of specialist material on all aspects of palliative care. Over 1,200 books, arranged on a broad subject basis, are available for loan to all staff and registered students, and for reference to everyone else. External membership offering full loan facilities is available at an annual charge of £40.00.

We currently subscribe to more than 35 periodicals and substantial back runs of many titles are available. Although these are for use in the library only, there is a self-service photocopier.

The library is open every weekday and is staffed by a professional librarian on four days of the week and at other times by arrangement.
